Google Cloud Next 2026 in Las Vegas drew over 30,000 developers, and the Flutter and Dart team delivered a game-changing preview: Dart support for Firebase Functions is now available. This means developers can use Dart for both frontend and backend, slashing context switching.

GenLatte: AI Specialty Coffee Shop
Flutter GenUI powered a fully AI-driven coffee shop at the expo center. Attendees ordered lattes through a Flutter app, then watched baristas craft custom foam art generated by nanobanana AI.
"The GenLatte booth showcased how generative UI can create delightful user experiences," said Kate Lovett, developer advocate. Over 2,000 custom lattes were served throughout the event.
